Omnibus Surveys

What distinguishes Omnibus surveys from other types of surveys is that the questions that appear on the survey questionnaire are typically contributed by multiple, unrelated parties. By joining with others who may have questions for a common group or population in the marketplace, a company or organization can save time and money by placing their questions on the larger survey, instead of paying for a full survey themselves. For example, 10 different automobile manufacturers might place 2 questions each on a 20 item survey that goes out to potential car buyers; each company only pays for the results of their questions, not what it would cost to design, distribute, and analyze the results for a 20 item study of their own. Respondents don't know who contributed each question, only that the survey contains 20 questions about car brands and their features.

Sector Omnibus surveys are designed to capture information about specific industries and can be custom crafted to study the attitudes, perceptions, preferences, or behavior of any group you might define as important to your organization. Each survey can allow you to ask questions and get detailed analysis of responses from approximately 1000 members of your target marketplace, depending on the type of marketplace studied. You simply supply the questions you would like answers to, and Sector's professional staff will help ensure validity in the wording of the question, collect data, and return a detailed report and interpretation of results to you within 48 hours of closing the survey.

You can ask just one question or as many as 20 questions on a single survey and your questions can include graphics, multi-media, or any other presentation feature that will help you test concepts, gain feedback, or measure perception of your products/services and brand. You can use any type of question structure to measure attitudes, values, beliefs, assumptions or other factors that drive both perception and buying behavior.

These professionals can work with questions you have designed in-house, or with concepts you wish to explore -- using your concepts, they can design questions for you that ensure valid and reliable responses.

Cost

Sector Omnibus is priced on a per-question basis, and costs vary depending on question type:

  • $500 for multiple choice and open ended questions
  • $700 + for grid-type questions
  • Discounts for purchases of three or more questions on a single omnibus or multiple purcahses across three or more omnibus surveys during the calendar year
  • $1.00 per open ended response coding

How we work

  2. We will send you a price quote and offer suggestions on refining your questions if necessary
  3. You approve questions
  4. You send payment and complete contract on our site
  5. We acknowledge payment/contract, including preferred field date
  6. We field the survey with your questions
  7. We deliver report to you

Reports are delivered within 48 hours of the date we close survey. Surveys are typically in the field for 3-5 work days.
